About

The Federation for Self-financing Tertiary Education (FSTE) is committed to promoting excellence in teaching, learning, student support, and holistic development across its Member Institutions. Through its award schemes—the FSTE Teaching Excellence Award, DAE Teaching Award, FSTE Outstanding Award for Student Integrated Service, and DAE Student Achievement Award—FSTE recognises impactful practices and outstanding contributions that enrich student learning and foster holistic development.

The FSTE Excellence in Education Forum 2026 marks the first occasion on which recipients of all four award schemes are brought together at a single event.  The achievements recognised through these awards reflect the dedication, innovation, and commitment of educators, practitioners, and students in enabling potential and advancing learning and development.  Building on this recognition, the Forum seeks to transform recognised achievements into opportunities for professional exchange and collective learning.

More than a celebration of excellence, the Forum serves as a catalyst for collective learning and sector-wide advancement.  By bringing together award recipients and colleagues from across institutions, it provides a dynamic platform to showcase exemplary practices, share insights and experiences, and explore their application in diverse educational contexts.  Through this exchange, impactful outcomes are not only celebrated but also translated into professional knowledge that can inspire and advance future practice.
