The Federation for Self-financing Tertiary Education (FSTE) is committed to promoting excellence in teaching and student support across its Member Institutions.   Through its award schemes—including the FSTE Teaching Excellence Award, DAE Teaching Award, FSTE Outstanding Award for Student Integrated Service, and DAE Student Achievement Award—FSTE recognises impactful practices and achievements that contribute to quality education and holistic student development.

The FSTE Excellence in Education Forum 2026 marks the first occasion on which recipients of the four award schemes are brought together at a single event.  The outstanding outcomes recognised through these awards reflect the dedication, innovation and commitment of educators, practitioners and students in advancing learning and development.  Building on this recognition, the Forum seeks to transform recognised achievements into opportunities for professional exchange and collective learning.

By bringing together award recipients and colleagues from across institutions, the Forum provides a platform to showcase exemplary practices, share insights and experiences, and explore their application in diverse educational contexts.  Through this process, impactful outcomes are not only celebrated but also translated into professional knowledge that can inspire and advance future practice.
